# Hilarious Animal Dubstep The Turkey Dubstep Short Showcases Beatboxing Skills By Erin Kirkpatrick | Published 2012-05-21 | Pop Culture Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/turkey-dubstep-short References: [neatorama](http://www.neatorama.com/2012/05/19/turkey-dubstep/) & [thedailywh.at](http://thedailywh.at/) Who knew turkeys were such bad-asses? After watching the Turkey Dubstep Short, you'll wonder why you ever doubted that fact. According to this video, turkey doesn't belong in between your sandwich bread, but rather in the electronic music industry. This video starts off with a pair of turkeys conversing about whether or not to beat-box. One of the turkeys is modest about beat-boxing, nervous that someone might be watching, while the other one is aching to embrace his skills. After fruitlessly debating, the gobbling duo show off their beat-boxing skills and drop some beats. Surprisingly, they're not half-bad and are super-entertaining to watch. With turkey's potential to beat-box, you'll never view Thanksgiving through the same eyes -- possibly passing on the consumption of the bird next year. These British accent-gobbling goons are beat-boxing top dogs who may one day pose a threat to renowned Dubstep artist Skrillex. Watch the video and watch this duo drop some beats. Wait for the sick drop. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.1/10 - Popularity: 3% | Activity: 23% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) > [Humor](https://www.trendhunter.com/humor) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Animal Beatboxing:** The trend of showcasing animals with musical talent offers disruptive innovation opportunities for the music and entertainment industry, catering to a unique audience. - **Novelty Music Acts:** Creating music acts featuring unexpected and unique performers such as beatboxing turkeys can disrupt the traditional music scene and attract a new fanbase. - **Comedic Music Videos:** The popularity of humorous music videos featuring unexpected performers like beatboxing turkeys presents opportunities for creating viral content that can promote artists and their music. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Music:** The music industry can explore and develop animal and novelty music acts, opening up new markets and revenue streams. - **Entertainment:** The entertainment industry can create and market comedic and unique music acts and videos, catering to a new audience segment. - **Social Media:** Social media platforms can facilitate the promotion and distribution of viral content such as comedic music videos featuring unexpected and unique performers, boosting artists' exposure and fanbase. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Turkey-Shaped Chicken Nuggets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/thanksgiving-chicken-nuggets.md) - [Beatboxing Robot Dogs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dj-beat-boxer.md) - [Deep Fried Turkey Sandwiches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/deep-fried-turkey-gobbler.md) - [Cultivated Turkey Sandwiches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moist-maker-sandwich.md) - [Jamaican Jerk Chicken Turkeys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jerk-turkey.md) - [Canadian Turkey-Focused Campaigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/canadian-turkey.md) - [Deep Fried Turkey Sandwiches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/deep-fried-turkeys.md) - [Mission-Driven Thanksgiving Cocktails](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/titos-turkey-rot.md) - [Turkey-Resembling Ice Cream Cakes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/turkey-cake.md)
