# Sleek Tube Lights These Elegant Light Fixtures are Slender Tubes That Protrude from the Ceiling By Ady Floyd | Published 2015-05-15 | Updated 2015-05-18 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tube-lights References: [design-milk](http://design-milk.com/libra-family-modular-suspended-lights/) & [waypoint-light](http://www.waypoint-light.com/en/prodotto/libra/) Designer Sara Ferrari designed this collection of tube lights that hang from the ceiling. The design is called LIBRA, and each fixture is created in a cluster called a family. They come in a variety of different lengths to add variety to each family. LIBRA is one part of the WayPoint Atelier lighting collection. One feature that adds a personal touch to these tube lights is that they can be [adjusted](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cube-one-table-lamp). This allows each fixture to become an even more original piece that can be changed in many ways. The tubes are slightly curved at the end so the light is not facing directly at the floor beneath it. They are weighted so their balance is always perfect. LIBRA comes in a [variety of metallic colors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pose-lighting) to add a punch of personality to any home or office space. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.3/10 - Popularity: 56% | Activity: 6% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Adjustable Light Fixtures:** There is an opportunity to create more adjustable light fixtures to add a personal touch to each individual space. - **Slender Tube Designs:** Designers can incorporate slender tube designs into their lighting collections for a sleek and modern look. - **Weighted Light Fixtures:** Designers can create more weighted light fixtures to ensure their balance is always perfect. ### Who This Affects Most - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can incorporate these sleek tube lights into their design plans for a modern and personal touch. - **Lighting Design:** Lighting designers can focus on creating more adjustable and weighted light fixtures to add variety and functionality to their collections. - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry may benefit from incorporating sleek and modern tube lights into their product lines for customers looking for a unique look. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Chic Saucer-Shaped Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/light-in-tight-light-fixture.md) - [Glowing Tubular Light Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/array-lighting.md) - [Artistic Ribbon-Like Ceiling Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-fellas-ceiling-light.md) - [Tubular Totem-Like Floor Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alma-light-totem-i.md) - [Horizontal Glass Sphere Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/comet-pendant.md) - [Illusory Modernist Light Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/teline-collection-by-kelly-wearstler.md) - [Delicate Illusory Ceiling Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aria-light.md) - [Elegant Geometric Light Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/geometric-light-fixture.md) - [Geometric Bar-Like Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/empyrean.md)
