He uses [sheets and rubes of metal](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/twist-side-table) to form the products. The capsule is made up of a range of tables, stools, chairs, shelves, vases, and benches. All of these share the commonality of highlighting the [malleability of metal](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/facet-collection) as a material that is explored from an artful angle. Teven bends the material carefully by twisting it to reach the desired form. All of the cures are done purposefully with a technical approach. Currently, the Tube collection is on display as a part of the artist's ongoing Soft Formation exhibition -- this is at the Atelier Ecru gallery Image Credit: Pierre Castignola ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.3/10 - Popularity: 39% | Activity: 9% | Freshness: 22% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Malleable Metal Furniture:** Exploring the malleability of metal as a key feature in furniture design opens up possibilities for customized and artistic pieces. - **Functional Sculptural Designs:** Blending functionality with sculptural forms in furniture design creates unique and visually striking pieces for modern interiors. - **Artistic Metal Twisting Techniques:** Incorporating meticulous metal twisting techniques in furniture creation results in pieces that showcase craftsmanship and innovation. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture Design:** The fusion of artful metalwork with functional furniture design presents opportunities to cater to a niche market seeking distinctive pieces. - **Art Gallery Exhibitions:** Showcasing metal furniture collections in art gallery exhibitions provides a platform for artists and designers to showcase innovative creations to a wider audience. - **Metalworking Industry:** Embracing new metal twisting techniques in furniture production can revolutionize traditional metalworking practices and inspire a wave of innovative designs. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Human Form-Inspired Furniture Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-tube-collection.md) - [Sustainable Concise Furniture Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tube-collection.md) - [Sheet Metal Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paul-coenen.md) - [Bended Tubular Chair-Table Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wire-chair-concept.md) - [Metal-Centric Playful Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sight-unseen-1.md) - [Upcycled Metal Sheet Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/upcycled-metal-sheet.md) - [Sculptural Metal Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pul-collection.md) - [Metal-Inspired Homeware Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kutarq-studio.md) - [Paper-Like Sleek Furniture Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alu-collection.md)
