Located in a serenely [bucolic setting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clinton-corners), the house features an [abstract sequence of windows](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/green-hills-residence) and openings to help exhibit its natural surroundings. The clients, two young [art collectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/galeria-house), wanted Tsai Residence to be a simplistic structure that produced varied lighting conditions for displaying their art. The equally-sized boxes are built with wood and gypsum panels. There are slight spaces in between the boxes to diffuse small amounts of light into the interior. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.9/10 - Popularity: 87% | Activity: 53% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Simplistic Structures:** The trend of designing simplistic structures to showcase artwork and create varied lighting conditions for display. - **Abstract Window Sequences:** The trend of incorporating abstract sequences of windows and openings in architectural designs to enhance the connection with natural surroundings. - **Bucolic Setting Homes:** The trend of building homes in serene and bucolic settings, providing a peaceful and picturesque environment. ### Who This Affects Most - **Art Collecting:** Opportunity for art collectors to seek simplistic structural designs that enhance the lighting conditions for displaying their artwork. - **Architecture and Design:** Opportunity for architects and designers to explore abstract window sequences and incorporate them into their projects to create a stronger connection with nature. - **Real Estate:** Opportunity for real estate developers to focus on building homes in serene and bucolic settings, attracting buyers looking for a peaceful and picturesque environment. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Corrugated Metal-Clad Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/catskill-house.md) - [Concrete Boxes-Overlapping Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-in-tsurumiku.md) - [Faceted Cedar Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-house-on-a-hill.md) - [Design Collection-Honored Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hudson-lhouse.md) - [Corrugated Metal Barn-Like Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/studioac.md) - [Glass-Lined Corridor Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tranquil-abiding.md) - [Geometric Structural Forest Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/c-house.md) - [Clear Glazing Compact Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/check-patterned-house.md) - [Taiwanese Steel Metal Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/double-roof-house.md)
