People that know me know I'm a huge fan of irony and these 'Truth and Lies' posters perfectly exemplify what people say on a surface level and what they actually mean. Designed by Justin Barber, the hilarious collection of [satirical posters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/thoughts-prayers-toilet-paper) features minimalist art with captions that make viewers reflect on the [funny social interactions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/linkedin-roaster) they have with their peers.

A few of my favorite lines from 'Truth and Lies' include "I didn't hear my alarm clock (It turns off after the fifth snooze)," "BRB (I'm still here, but I wish you weren't)" and "I'm on a diet (of great tasting food)."

**Implications** - Consumers appreciate satirical humor because it offers them a pleasurable diversion while at the same time satiating their desire for cognitively engaging material. Corporations may consider using [satire in their media campaigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/switzerland-is-fake) in order to attract consumers to company causes.
