These fries were created through collaboration with 'Truff,' a Southern California-based company most know for its uniquely flavored hot sauce. As the company name implies, the Truff hot sauce mixes truffles with popular hot sauce flavors, such as sriracha, to create a topping that is equal parts spicy as it is savory. The Truff Nacho Fries were originally tested in late 2021 in select regions in California, and were received well. However, the popular fast food chain opted to use Truff's latest hot sauce, the 'Truff Hotter Hot sauce' in order to turn up the spice levels for spice-loving customers. Additionally, now customers across the continent will be able to enjoy this newly reimagined savory loaded nacho dish for a limited time, while supplies last.
