The designer mounted matching round tabletops on posts of various sizes so that each surface would rise to a different height. With a bit of a slant, Julian Appelius made his piece self-supportive, despite its asymmetry. The circular panels were kept level while the [wooden legs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tidone) were tilted inwards, causing the posts to touch the edges of the tabletops below. The concept of the Pulpoproducts Trio Table won a design award a couple of years ago.
