# Prismatic Floor Lamps These Triangle Lamps Are Inspired by City Skylines By Mishal Omar | Published 2016-07-14 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/triangle-lamps References: [design-milk](http://design-milk.com/around-lamp-maria-novozhilova/?utm_source=feedly&utm_medium=webfeeds) & [marianovozhilova](http://www.marianovozhilova.com/) These triangle lamps were designed by Milan and Tokyo-based architect Maria Novozhilova. The geometric objects, titled 'All Around Lamps' are unlike other [floor lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ori-lamp) as rather than sitting on a stand, they are prismatic and can sit on any face of the prism that the owner wishes. The lamps come in two sizes, give off a warm light and are decorated with silhouettes of city skylines -- including Milan and Sydney. The larger of the two lamps can be flipped on their base so that the light is turned upwards and can then be used as a stool or [coffee table](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jal). The lamps can also function as modules and can be put together to make larger tables. These triangle lamps are simultaneously fashionable accessories and useful home products. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.4/10 - Popularity: 47% | Activity: 47% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Modular Lighting:** Designing floor lamps that can be used as modules opens up opportunities for customizable lighting solutions. - **Prismatic Furniture:** Incorporating prismatic elements into furniture designs can create unique and eye-catching pieces. - **City Skylines Decor:** Using city skylines as decorative elements in home products adds an urban aesthetic to interior design. ### Who This Affects Most - **Interior Design:** Innovations in modular lighting and prismatic furniture can revolutionize the way interior designers approach space and functionality. - **Home Decor:** The incorporation of city skylines into home products presents opportunities for creating city-themed decor collections. - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Manufacturers can explore the production of prismatic furniture pieces to appeal to consumers seeking stylish and unconventional designs. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Contemporary Modular Floor Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/point-floor-lamp.md) - [Sculptural Metal Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/polyshape.md) - [Scenic Architecture Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/architecture-inspired-table-lamp.md) - [Archetypal Conical Light Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fragile-lamp.md) - [Honeycomb-Like Sculptural Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tri-light.md) - [Compact Geometric Portable Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pivot-lamp.md) - [Illusory Multidimensional Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drop-light.md) - [Portable Cubic Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/romb-mini-lamp.md) - [Origami-Inspired Floor Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ori-lamp.md)
