# Windows 8: The Developer Story of the Trend Hunter App is Accessible at the Windows Store By Armida Ascano | Published 2013-05-28 | About Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/trend-hunter-windows-app References: [buildforwindows](http://www.buildforwindows.ca/) When developing a [mobile and tablet app](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/taurify) for our site, Trend Hunter's main concern was the same as many others looking to make the transition: keeping branding consistent. This is why Eran Barley, Director at Sela Canada and Project Lead on the development of Trend Hunter's app, chose Windows 8 as our main development tool. One of the biggest challenges faced by Trend Hunter during the [app's development](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/appbuzz) was the pressure of creating the app within 3 weeks in time for the Windows 8 launch. Thankfully, according to Barley, the [Microsoft](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/microsoft-designer-app) development tools enabled for smooth collaboration. He states, "[The Tools] created an "eco system" working around the clock, 24/7; when something was approved [in Toronto] in the afternoon, the day after, throughout working around the world, the client could receive something the morning after." ### Download the App and watch the video at [the Windows Store](http://www.buildforwindows.ca/) ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.6/10 - Popularity: 2% | Activity: 9% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [About](https://www.trendhunter.com/about) > [In The News](https://www.trendhunter.com/inthenews) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Consistent Branding:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop tools or platforms that help businesses maintain consistent branding across different devices and platforms. - **Efficient Collaboration:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create tools or technologies that facilitate seamless collaboration and communication between teams located in different time zones. - **Accelerated Development:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore methodologies and technologies that enable businesses to develop and launch apps within tight deadlines. ### Where This Applies - **Mobile App Development:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Innovate new approaches or technologies for faster and more efficient mobile app development. - **Software Development:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop tools or frameworks that streamline the software development process, reducing the time and effort required. - **Cross-platform Integration:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create solutions that seamlessly integrate different operating systems and platforms, enabling businesses to reach a wider audience. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Mobile Content Creator Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/microsoft-designer-app.md) - [Affordable Mobile Application Developers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/affordable-mobile-application.md) - [Web-Based Mobile Game Stores](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/webbased-store.md) - [Branded Development Desktop PCs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/windows-dev-kit-2023.md) - [Streamlined PC Gaming Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pc-gaming-app.md) - [App Preview Makers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/screenshot-studio1.md) - [App Screenshot Makers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/screenshot-studio.md) - [Co-Branded Inclusive Packaging Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/haleon-and-microsoft-1.md) - [Influencer-Focused App Development Platforms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mobile-app-development-platform.md)
