The [timber pavilion](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-solai) was built on a hillside, next to the architect's home near the city of Adelaide, that offers views of the sea. The [cylindrical tube](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/burl-treehouse), which stands six meters high, was fashioned using sheets of hoop pine stained with a beautiful amber hue to offer some warmth. Across the floors and walls lie hardwood batons, chosen to accentuate the junctures in the pine sheeting. The structure is topped by a flat roof, which offers protection from the elements. Inside, the column contains two levels: the first of which is used for storage, while the second is a work space with sea views. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.2/10 - Popularity: 78% | Activity: 41% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Weekend Workspace:** Businesses can create unique weekend workspaces to provide employees a peaceful refuge and increase productivity. - **Timber Pavilions:** Designers can create beautiful and sustainable timber pavilions as eco-friendly workspaces or personal dwellings. - **Cylindrical Structures:** Construction companies can explore cylindrical structures as an alternative to traditional boxy designs for unique and eye-catching buildings. ### Where This Applies - **Architecture:** Architecture firms can develop weekend workspaces for businesses, entrepreneurs and individuals looking for a peaceful retreat from city living. - **Construction:** Construction companies can utilize sustainable materials to create timber pavilions and other eco-friendly structures for commercial and residential use. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can customize the interior of cylindrical structures to optimize space and enhance the unique architectural design for clients. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Hidden Garden Timber Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/a-room-around-a-tree.md) - [Simplistic Tranquil Garden Studios](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tuinhuis-atelier.md) - [Slatted Steel Treehouse Surroundings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sawmill-treehouse.md) - [Compact Cozy Garden Studios](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bush-studio.md) - [Nature-Immersive Tranquil Resorts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/treehouse-villas.md) - [Vaulted Structural Telescopic Treehouse](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/artistree-home.md) - [Cartoonish Tubular Treehouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tubular-treehouse.md) - [Elevated Treetop Modern Cabins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/buitenverblijf-nest.md) - [Eucalyptus Wood Curved Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/armadillo-pavilion.md)
