# Portable Napping Tents These KidCo Peapod is a Travel Bed for Children By M | Published 2015-12-18 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/travel-bed References: [bit.ly](http://bit.ly/1Qt1sHs) & [amazon](http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CCKC108?tag=trenhunt0f-20) The Peapod [travel bed design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stokke) by KidCo is a handy space for parents to put their young ones to rest while on-the-go. The tent folds out into a miniature space for [babies and toddlers alike](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/parry-cot) to enjoy some much needed napping and privacy in places where there might not be a designated area for them to rest. Young children are frequent sleepers, which can make it difficult for parents to accommodate while constantly on-the-go. The Peapod is a helpful design that allows children to nap virtually anywhere with a [canopy style tent](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/deya-day-care) that creates a makeshift quiet area and comfy place to little ones to relax. The tent features ventilated mesh material and zip up flaps so parents can keep a watchful eye on their children while they rest. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.2/10 - Popularity: 40% | Activity: 17% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Gen Alpha - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Portable Rest Spaces:** The rise of portable napping tents and other similar designs provide an opportunity for businesses to create comfortable and practical portable rest spaces for anyone on the go. - **Ventilated Mesh:** Ventilated mesh material is becoming increasingly popular and could be used in other products ranging from outdoor furniture to sportswear. - **Hybrid Designs:** Combining different designs and features from traditional products can lead to hybrid designs that offer greater functionality and convenience, such as a portable rest space for children with a canopy and mesh walls. ### Who This Affects Most - **Travel and Tourism:** The portable napping tent is an innovative addition to this industry and can help with the common issue of accommodating young children in busy travel situations. - **Childcare:** Childcare companies could benefit from this design by offering the portable napping tent as an add-on service for parents in need of a place for their children to nap. - **Outdoor Recreation:** The ventilated mesh material used in the Peapod travel bed could be utilized in the creation of outdoor furniture and sportswear that provide increased breathability and comfort. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Collapsible Flatpack Crib Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bababing-bedside-travel-crib.md) - [Low-Cost Nursing Pods](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mamaro-portable-baby-room.md) - [Vertical Nap Pods](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/napping-pods.md) - [Cubic Car Camper Tents](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/carsule-portable-popup-tent.md) - [Family-Friendly Camping Van Tents](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/van-rooftop-tent.md) - [Sensory Deprivation Travel Pillows](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pod-travel-pillow.md) - [Swaddling Comfort Blankets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hug-sleep.md) - [2-in-1 Toddler Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/piccalio-bedbed.md) - [Tent‑Filled Daycare Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/deya-day-care.md)
