# Circus Freaktograpy An Eclectic Arrangment of Scary Performers in 'Traume' By Andrew Robichaud | Published 2009-07-31 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/traume References: [behance.net](http://www.behance.net/Gallery/Traume/267572) & [thomasfuchs](http://www.thomasfuchs.com/) If you’ve ever been to a circus before then you’ll know that it’s probably not like the ‘Traume’ collection. If you’ve ever been to a circus in hell on psychedelic drugs, then you’ll know that it’s probably exactly like the ‘Traume’ collection. These photos are absolutely crazy in substance and concepts. The eerie photos blend inanimate objects with living things, mix and match species and dive into a hint of violence. It’s creepy to say the least, but I will say it takes a special sense of creativity to produce this. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.0/10 - Popularity: 37% | Activity: 16% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 10% men, 90% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Eerie Photography:** Opportunity for photographers to explore unsettling and thought-provoking imagery. - **Hybrid Art:** Potential for artists to merge different mediums and create unconventional and captivating works. - **Conceptual Photography:** Space for photographers to push boundaries and challenge traditional notions of reality. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Photography:** Photographers can experiment with unconventional techniques and create unique and unsettling visuals. - **Art:** Artists can explore new ways of expression by combining different art forms and challenging societal norms. - **Entertainment:** Opportunity for performers to create surreal and captivating experiences for audiences through unconventional acts. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Circus Tent-Inspired Holiday Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-circus.md) - [Forgotten Theme-Park Art Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/forgotten-fantasy.md) - [Performance Art Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bio-pop.md) - [Unique Artistic Books](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/amusebouche.md) - [Otherworldly Wooden Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-sculptures-1.md) - [Curated Horror Subscriptions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-tales-of-the-weird.md) - [Digital Archetype Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/christian-rex-van-minnen-1.md) - [Surrealist Beauty Lines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/toiletpaper-magazine.md) - [Abstract Fantasy Home Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/abstract-fantasy-home.md)
