# Ensnaring Dog Dishes The Trap Bowl Takes a Comically Torturous Look for Your Furry Friend By Amelia Roblin | Published 2014-01-30 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/trap-bowl References: [lightfog.co.th](http://www.lightfog.co.th/ourwork/lifestyle?product=5) Dog owners are far too fond of their furry friends to have the Trap Bowl exist as an actual operational snare. While a working concept might be appealing to entice and entrap backyard pests, this playful platter simply poses as a dangerous device. Designed by Lightfog, this [doggy dish](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/trot-pets-elevated-complete-set) is made from plastic material and defined by a mold to look like a jagged jaw type of animal trap. Faux hinges protrude from the sides of the circular kibble container and spiky teeth point sharply upwards. Of course, the Trap Bowl is sufficiently humane not to actually present any honed edges. When your [canine eats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brightkins) his [dog food](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/trot-pets-1) from the Trap Bowl, he will be unaware of the visual joke, making it humorous just for the master. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.4/10 - Popularity: 96% | Activity: 89% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Humorous Pet Products:** Creating comically designed pet products can provide entertainment and amusement for pet owners. - **Playful Designs:** Incorporating whimsical and playful designs into everyday items can enhance the user experience and add an element of fun. - **Animal-inspired Accessories:** Designing products that mimic animal features can tap into the fascination humans have with their pets, creating unique and eye-catching products. ### Where This Applies - **Pet Industry:** The pet industry can explore the market for humorous and entertaining pet products to cater to pet owners' desire for unique and engaging items. - **Home Decor Industry:** Integrating playful and whimsical designs into home decor items can attract consumers looking to add a touch of fun and personality to their living spaces. - **Gift and Novelty Industry:** The gift and novelty industry can offer animal-inspired accessories and humorous products as unique gifts for pet owners and animal enthusiasts. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Anthropomorphized Pet Products](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pet-bowl-table.md) - [Ergonomic Pet Snack Bowls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elevated-complete.md) - [Sushi-Themed Pet Feeders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sushi-feeder-tray.md) - [Multi-Use Pet Feeding Trays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/trot-pets.md) - [Spill-Proof Kibble Bowls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kibble-katcher.md) - [Compartment-Based Pet Feeding Trays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pets-snack-tray.md) - [Modern Dog Bowl Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modern-dog-bowl.md) - [Multifunctional Dog Bowls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dog-bowls.md) - [Innovative Pet Feeding Bowls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/trot-pets-1.md)
