When not used as a lock, it is a [rack that attaches to the seat](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sonder-x-skarper) for easy storage. People can use it as a rack as well, [placing bags and other items](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ultix-outdoors-superpack) while heading to work or home. When the ride is over, the Transit Bicycle Lock and Carrier conveniently detaches to secure the bike to poles and other stations. It is long enough to [lock up both tires](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/draken-bicycle-stand) as well as the frame. It was designed by Seth Chiam. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.8/10 - Popularity: 86% | Activity: 80% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Multipurpose Bike Accessories:** Innovative bike accessories that serve multiple functions such as a lock and a carrier can solve common bike-riders' problems. - **Convenient Bike Storage Solutions:** Creative bike storage solutions, such as the Transit Bicycle Lock and Carrier, can provide ease and convenience for bike riders. - **Smart Bike Security Systems:** Integrated bike security systems, such as locking mechanisms with intelligent technology, can provide a much needed solution for bike theft. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Bicycle Industry:** The bicycle industry can ride the trend of multipurpose bike accessories for more convenient and practical riding equipment. - **Logistics Industry:** The logistics industry can benefit from innovative bike storage solutions that are effective and efficient for transporting goods using bicycles. - **Security Industry:** The security industry can leverage the trend of smart bike security systems, providing clients with superior technology and peace of mind. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Tri-Functional Bicycle Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/trifunctional-bicycle-rack.md) - [Foldable Flatpack Bike Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ahha-toaster-bike-rack.md) - [Tubular Metallic Bike Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cargomate-bike-rack.md) - [Hidden Seat Bike Locks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lockinvisible.md) - [Helmet-Friendly Bike Locks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/abus-combiflex-travelguard.md) - [Helmet-Secured Bike Prototypes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/on-board-helmet.md) - [Compact Cyclist Car Mounts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightbull-rack.md) - [Horizontal Automotive Bike Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ktop-bike-rack.md) - [Collapsible Ultra-Secure Bike Locks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folding-lock.md)
