# Minimalist Morphing Tables The Subduction Desk by Paul Venaille Makes the Most of Small Spaces By Michael Hemsworth | Published 2012-11-27 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/transforming-tables References: [designboom](http://www.designboom.com/readers/suduction-desk/) Keeping things organized in an office can be a baffling ordeal, which is where transforming tables like the Subduction Desk by Paul Venaille can help put essentials in their place. The Subduction Desk features a thick table top that hides supplies in two slim drawers and a hidden compartment at the desk's head. This accented part of the desk simply slides open when needed and folds neatly out of the way when necessary. The desk stands on [thin metal legs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/twist-side-table) that help keep design aesthetics light in small spaces or multi-use rooms. While this transforming table is perfect for a modern office, it would also fit well in [small living spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bookmarker-table) where it can double as a dining table or television stand to increase efficiency and help keep productivity at maximum capacity.
