It is not enough that we live in a three-dimensional world -- there has been a certain infatuation with making everything digital as real as possible via 3D representation. Edan Kwan, a developer at a New York digital agency, Firstborn, is the brain behind the 3D website reality. He has created a program that uses CSS where dragging the program script into your bookmark bar gives it a clickable feature that instantly morphs any site to 3D status. Kwan created a pilot test website, whose views jumped from 100 to 12,000, daily. This was actually initially a joke project, submitted to the Firstborn developer team for fun. Imagine his surprise when his practical joke turned...practical. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.3/10 - Popularity: 27% | Activity: 35% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) > [Inventions](https://www.trendhunter.com/inventions) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **3D Website Design:** The trend of creating 3D website designs using CSS creates opportunities for developers to enhance user experience and engagement. - **Css-based Innovation:** The trend of using CSS for transformation of websites presents opportunities for developers to offer unique and immersive user experiences. - **Digital 3D Transformation:** The trend of digital transformation of 2D websites to 3D creates opportunities for businesses to stand out with visually arresting, high-impact web content. ### Who This Affects Most - **Digital Advertising:** The digital advertising industry can benefit from using 3D website widgets to create more immersive and engaging ad campaigns. - **Web Design:** The web design industry can leverage CSS-based innovation to create more innovative, interactive and high-impact websites for their clients. - **Entertainment Industry:** The entertainment industry can benefit from using 3D website widgets to create more engaging and interactive websites for their fans and followers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [3D Object Building Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/realityblu.md) - [3D-Printed Flip Books](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stl-sculptures.md) - [Interactive Bag Visualizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bag-capacity-widget.md) - [Web-Based 3D Creation Engines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/3d-creation-engine.md) - [2D-to-3D Jewelry Try-Ons](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/virtual-try-on-technology.md) - [Browser Animation Studios](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wickdlab.md) - [3D NFT Minting Platforms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/threekit-for-nfts.md) - [AI 3D Generators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/psychoroidcom.md) - [Professional-Quality E-Commerce Furniture Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/3d-cloud.md)
