Although this train town is truly the deepest fantasy of every model train hobbiest, its true purpose is to simulate and prevent [cyber terrorism and attacks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sophisticated-cybersecurity-protocols). The realism of the train town does not come from its aesthetic qualities, but rather the working systems that it is hooked up to. The tiny train town has a fully functional electrical grid, banking system, transportation system and even includes WiFi. Everything in this world is or is becoming [digitally linked](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/realitymaps) and therefore needs to be protected. Remember the fear of the Y2K Bug? Hopefully this train town will help prevent something similar from happening. I mean, what would we all do in a world without our precious internet? ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.7/10 - Popularity: 4% | Activity: 9% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Model Train Simulations:** Developing realistic model train simulations for cybersecurity training purposes. - **Cybersecurity Training:** Utilizing model train simulations to train professionals on preventing cyber attacks. - **Digital System Protection:** Creating innovative measures to protect digitally linked systems from cyber threats. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Cybersecurity:** Using model train simulations to enhance cybersecurity practices and defense strategies. - **Model Train Hobby:** Incorporating realistic digital systems into model train hobbies for enhanced experience and learning. - **Infrastructure:** Implementing advanced protection measures to secure digitally connected infrastructures from cyber threats. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Cybersecurity Education Platforms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cybersecurity-education.md) - [Exclusive Cybersecurity Classes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/masterclass-cyberwarfare.md) - [Train Simulations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/thomas-friends-game.md) - [Free Cybersecurity Educational Initiatives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cybersecurity-awareness.md) - [Gamified Cybersecurity Training Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cybersecurity-training-solution.md) - [Cybersecurity AI Defense Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/big-sleep.md) - [Online Discourse Simulations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dead-internet.md) - [AI Safety Training Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ai-hackingclub.md) - [Internet Safety Metaverses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/be-internet-awesome-world.md)
