# Train Horns on Cars Hornblasters Locomotive Horns Tame Road Rage By Marissa Brassfield | Published 2008-08-16 | Autos Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/train-horns-on-cars-hornblasters-locomotive-horns-tame-road-rage References: [hornblasters](http://www.hornblasters.com) [Hornblasters](http://www.hornblasters.com/) locomotive horns replace the diminutive bleat of your automobile with the throaty roar of an authentic train horn or whistle. A train's horn can be clearly heard for miles, whereas a car horn is significantly less powerful. Imagine the fear you'll unleash with one of these horns the next time someone cuts you off on the freeway or narrowly misses hitting you in an intersection. Pedestrians wandering into the street, bikers edging into your lane or pesky skateboarders will all similarly face the wrath of your ear-splitting horn should you cross paths. Road rage has at last met its match. The [Hornblasters website](http://www.hornblasters.com/) features videos of the horns on the street. Watch the reactions as they honk their horns at passersby! ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.8/10 - Popularity: 43% | Activity: 3% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Train Horns for Cars:** There is potential for disruptive innovation to create safer vehicles by supporting automobile manufacturers in creating horn systems that provide greater audible warning and safety to drivers. - **Road Safety:** There is potential for disruptive innovation to use data and analytics in combination with additional warning systems like horn systems to create a safer road environment. - **Personalized Auto Accessories:** There is potential for creatively reimagining traditional auto accessories, like horns, in order to create personalized car modification opportunities. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Automotive Industry:** Automakers are experimenting with building in intelligent features to vehicles like horn systems, and the trend towards increasing safety features in vehicles provides a real opportunity for disruptive innovation. - **Technology Manufacturing:** There is potential for disruptive innovation in creating unique devices or implementing intelligent systems on a mass scale to support safer roads for drivers. - **Auto Accessories Industry:** There is potential to create new and innovative accessories that personalize cars to driver preferences like these train horns designed by Hornblasters. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Collectible Car-Inspired Whistles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tesla-cyberwhistle.md) - [Digital Cyclist Bell Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/trek-bellbeats.md) - [Life-Sized Electric Toy Cars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wild-one-max.md) - [Remote-Controlled Monster Truck Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hot-wheels-monster-trucks-hw-transforming-rhinomite-rc.md) - [Air-Powered Racer Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/airpower-turbo-racer.md) - [Heritage Sound Playgrounds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hornscape-playground.md) - [Engine Simulating Scooter Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/segway-engine-wireless-speaker.md) - [Trailblazing American Hypertrucks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hypertruck.md) - [Real-Time Adaptive Audio Experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/interrail.md)
