# Rack-Free Car Ski Holders The 'Chuck Bucket' Trailer Hitch Ski Rack Makes Gear Loading Easier By Michael Hemsworth | Published 2022-01-27 | Autos Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/trailer-hitch-ski-rack References: [newatlas](https://newatlas.com/outdoors/chuck-bucket-outdoor-gear/) & [thechuckbucket](https://thechuckbucket.com/) Mounting skis onto the top of a vehicle is the commonplace approach when heading to the slopes but is often associated with being quite cumbersome, so the 'Chuck Bucket' trailer hitch ski rack is designed to help change this. The unit works by being installed onto the rear of a vehicle on the hitch and will provide drivers with a dedicated spot to stow skis or snowboards in an upright position. This will eliminate the need for a conventional [roof rack](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cargomate-bike-rack), while also making ski or snowboard gear loading far easier for any age.
