Chorong comes in 2 versions: one with traditional light bulbs, and the other with [LED](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cordless-collection). As a [hanging light](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/camping-lantern-1) it can direct the light by pivoting on the pole, or can be held by hand, or can hang down on a fixed metal pole. The Chorong by Joongho Choi lets you decide how traditional or modern you want to be. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.7/10 - Popularity: 10% | Activity: 4% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Modern Traditionalism:** Opportunity to create modern designs that incorporate traditional elements. - **Adaptive Lighting:** Opportunity to create lighting solutions that are versatile and can be used in various settings. - **Sustainable Materials:** Opportunity to incorporate sustainable materials into traditional designs, creating environmentally conscious products. ### Where This Applies - **Lighting:** Opportunity for lighting companies to create new designs that are more versatile and sustainable. - **Home Decor:** Opportunity for home decor companies to create modern designs that incorporate traditional elements. - **Artisan Crafts:** Opportunity for artisan craft companies to expand their market by creating contemporary designs that incorporate their traditional craft techniques. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Lantern-Like Light Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/light-kyeol-series.md) - [Whimsical Item-Holding Lanterns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightray.md) - [Artfully Functional Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chant.md) - [Flower-Like Portable Lanterns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tulit-led-lantern.md) - [Japanese Lantern-Inspired Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/madco.md) - [Sun-Mimicking Lanterns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nick-lantern.md) - [Outdoor Twisted Light Lanterns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/twist-camping-lantern.md) - [Stunningly Minimalist Lighting Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-lighting-design.md) - [Stylish Outdoor Illumination Lanterns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-outdoor-lantern.md)
