The service offers a safe ride for anyone who finds themselves impaired and unable to drive, sending a tow truck to pick up the driver and their vehicle. The program transports both to a secure location within 10 miles and is free, confidential, and available to both members and non-members. With a record 81.1 million Americans expected to hit the road this Thanksgiving and over 12,000 [alcohol-related crash deaths](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drunk-driving-detection) reported in 2023, AAA hopes the program can help save lives during one of the year’s most dangerous travel weekends. “AAA encourages everyone to celebrate responsibly by planning ahead.
