The #NoSh*ttyPhotos tourist photography project aims to prevent visitors from taking terrible photos on their smartphones in New York and San Francisco.

A group of [Miami Ad School](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/menopause-retreat) graduates named Mimi Chan and Utsavi Jhaveri decided to start a social media campaign to help tourists essentially take better photos. Poorly photographed scenes of big cities are often posted on [Instagram](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/winery-experience) and [Facebook](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cape-town) social media networks. These students got creative and actually traveled to these cities and spray-painted exact positions on the ground at tourist locations.

Their clever and simple instructions are ‘Place feet, point and click’ on the yellow spray-painted ground where stencils of feet are found. This effective solution will help tourists realize they can actually capture a better photo by standing on the stencil guide provided by the #NoSh*ttyPhotos tourist photography project.
