The 'Helios' system works by allowing hexagonal lighting units to be connected together to form a desired pattern that is as large or as small as one desires. The 'Helios' modular touch lighting system can allow a user to create an electronic canvas to interact with and customize whenever they wish. This can be used for illumination purposes or to simply provide a way to create illuminated artwork that can be switched and changed depending on varying preferences. It can be installed into a wide array of different spaces including homes, offices and much more with ease. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.7/10 - Popularity: 97% | Activity: 95% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Modular Touch Lighting:** There is a growing trend towards modular touch lighting systems that allow for customized, interactive illumination designs. - **Interactive Art:** The 'Helios' modular touch lighting system demonstrates a trend towards interactive art that can respond to user touch and preferences. - **Electronic Canvas:** The 'Helios' system represents a trend towards creating electronic canvases that can be customized and interacted with to create unique illuminated artwork. ### Who This Affects Most - **Interior Design:** The modular and customized nature of the 'Helios' system could disrupt the interior design industry by offering unique and interactive lighting solutions for homes and offices. - **Artistic Lighting:** The rise of interactive and modular touch lighting systems like 'Helios' could disrupt the traditional artistic lighting industry by offering new and exciting options for creating illuminated artwork. - **Smart Home Technology:** The 'Helios' system is an example of how smart home technology is advancing towards more integrated and interactive lighting solutions for consumers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Customizable Hexagonal Desk Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cololight-plus-hexagon-light-kit.md) - [Modular LED Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ilo-lamp.md) - [Unconventional Modular Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luna-kaleido-series.md) - [Customizable Magnetic Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-magnetic-lamp.md) - [Interactive Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tangent-lamp.md) - [Magnetic Modular Lighting Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nekospace-orchard.md) - [Timber-Like Smart Light Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nanoleaf-elements-wood-look-hexagon-lights.md) - [Modular Customized Lighting Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/keops.md) - [Shape-Shifting Modular Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moodi.md)
