The friendly and energized [four-legged furniture piece](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loki-stool) is the perfect addition to any [modern bedroom or living room](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/utzon-stool) as its equal parts subtle and rustic. The stool is designed to complement a chair or couch, but stands strongly on its own. The Toto Stool features a hard, [dual-colored tiled surface](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/edition-two) that is assembled on top of dark plywood. The stool is inspired by a modern Brazilian movement which privileges tiles in interior design. The Toto Stool is available in two colors, navy and cream, colors which are representative of the water and sun respectively. This stool's versatile tiled design allows for each object to maintain its own unique facade. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.6/10 - Popularity: 25% | Activity: 45% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Modern Brazilian Movement:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore the use of tiles in interior design to create unique and versatile furniture pieces. - **Dual-colored Tiled Surface:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Design furniture with a hard, dual-colored tiled surface to add a subtle and rustic touch to modern spaces. - **Versatile Tiled Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop furniture designs that allow for each object to maintain its own unique facade through a versatile tiled design. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Interior Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Integrate tile patterns into interior design to create visually appealing and functional furniture pieces. - **Home Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore the use of dual-colored tiled surfaces in home decor products to cater to modern design preferences. - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporate versatile tiled designs into furniture manufacturing to offer customers unique and customizable options. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Handcrafted Stone Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pebble-stool.md) - [Multifaceted Geometric Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stackable-stools.md) - [Colorful Dual-Purpose Stool Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/s1-stool.md) - [Stackable Cork-Like Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drum-stool-1.md) - [Sculptural Monochromatic Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/monochromatic-stool.md) - [Interlocking Wooden Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-tie-stool.md) - [Bubble-Inspired Bulbous Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bubble-stool.md) - [Bright Colorful Structural Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fels.md) - [East-Meets-West-Inspired Layered Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cornice.md)
