Abstracting the shape of a traditional tribal totem, the decorative home accessory mixes a clean white backdrop with delicately layered washes of color. The decorative object features a mix of deconstructed geometric shapes that are composed to resemble a classic totem pole. The elements add a powerful visual focal point to their handmade terracotta base that is finished with a durable and shiny crackle glaze. Each unique Totem vase from CB2 boasts artist Vincent Jackson's signature stamp and distinct manipulation of color. A modern take on traditional African and Native american folk art imagery, this home accessory brings its cultural inspirations to life. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.5/10 - Popularity: 6% | Activity: 2% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Abstract Geometric Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create home accessories that blend abstract geometric shapes with traditional cultural motifs. - **Handmade Terracotta Art:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop a line of handmade terracotta vases with unique designs and finishes to appeal to modern consumers. - **Colorful Tribal-inspired Home Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Design home decor products that combine vibrant colors with cultural references, appealing to those seeking unique and visually striking pieces for their living spaces. ### Where This Applies - **Home Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Pioneer the fusion of traditional cultural influences with contemporary design to create a new wave of home decor products. - **Artisan Craftsmanship:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Combine traditional crafting techniques with modern aesthetics to produce artisanal pieces that resonate with consumers looking for unique and meaningful home accessories. - **Cultural Heritage Tributes:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore different cultural heritages and create home decor items that celebrate and pay tribute to traditional art forms while infusing them with a modern twist. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Ocean-Inspired Home Decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ceramic-coralshaped-vase.md) - [Stackable Clay Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/torre-vases.md) - [Colorful Geometric Ceramic Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/barva-vases.md) - [Elegant Ivory Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ivory-vase.md) - [Stunningly Sculptural Blue Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptural-blue-vase.md) - [Exquisite Circular Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/salt-vases.md) - [Sculpturally Provocative Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vibrant-sculptural-vase.md) - [Delicate Colorful Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/delicate-colorful-vase.md) - [Greenery-Inspired Textured Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/leaf-textured-ceramic-vase.md)
