Designed by Siv Lier, the wall-mounted light fixture has a modifiable intensity that requires manual adjustment. A round diffuser made from translucent material is installed over the brilliant lightbulb. In full view, the circle glows like the [warm setting sun](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/evening-sky). However, the wall lamp is completed with its opaque blue cover, behaving much like the passing moon as it blocks some of the beams behind it. Simply shift this [lunar lampshade](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wake-lamp) to obstruct as much or as little of the luminous surface as you wish, establishing your desired intensity and ambiance with the Total Eclipse Lamp. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.1/10 - Popularity: 25% | Activity: 29% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Interactive Lighting:** The Total Eclipse Lamp encourages intimate interaction with home lighting through manual adjustment, creating opportunities for the interactive lighting trend. - **Translucent Materials:** The round diffuser made of translucent material in the Total Eclipse Lamp creates a glowing effect that taps into the trend of using translucent materials in design. - **Adjustable Intensity:** The modifiable intensity of the Total Eclipse Lamp speaks to the trend of adjustable lighting and its potential for disruptive innovation in the lighting industry. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home Decor:** The Total Eclipse Lamp fits within the home decor industry, and its ability to create customizable lighting atmospheres presents innovation opportunities for other home decor companies. - **Interiors:** Interior designers could incorporate the interactive lighting made possible by the Total Eclipse Lamp and its manual adjustment capabilities into disruptive innovation for interiors. - **Lighting:** The Total Eclipse Lamp is a lighting product with adjustable intensity, creating opportunities for innovation and competition in the lighting industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sculptural Lunar Lighting Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moonsetter-floor-lamp.md) - [Eclipse-Inspired Whimsical Pendant Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/space-traveler.md) - [Ethereal Lunar Wall Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luna-piena-wall-lamp.md) - [Moon-Inspired Lighting Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lua.md) - [Futuristic LED Lava Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moonside-lamp-one.md) - [Mushroom-Inspired Sleek Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lunar-lamp-concept.md) - [Calming Orb Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orb-lamp1.md) - [Planetary Dual-Illumination Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orbis-lamp.md) - [Solar System-Inspired Lighting Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cosmooval.md)
