The [University of Toronto's](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-campus-collection) Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering is considered to be one of the world's best and it's been expanding even more -- which this [Toronto graffiti mural](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mosaic-north-america) highlights.

Claiming the title of the "longest single graffiti installation" that the city's downtown area has to offer, the colorful piece took a total of three weeks to complete. Before the team behind it got started, which consisted of members of CEIE and artist Jason Wing (otherwise known as SKAM,) they considered the wear and tear that it would endure over time. With construction surrounding it and seasonal changes bringing its own issues, the mural needed to have a design that could easily be fixed when damage occurred.

The goal of this expansive work of Toronto graffiti was to generate conversation surrounding the contributions made by the engineering community and to reflect the [unique urban environment](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/craig-karl2) surrounding the school's St. George campus.
