The designer of the Torax Fruit Bowl might have been striving for a touch of minimalism with this piece, but it certainly isn't as plain as that. Of course, it is a simplification of the [skeleton that inspired it](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/himalaya-pelvis-chair) but it has been infused with a hint of playfulness as well.

Bright white MDF waste was used to manufacture this [rigidly geometric object](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tong-side-table) that mimics the human ribcage. It was CNC cut as such to embody a perfect symmetry that you would not find in a genuine anatomical example.

Danilo Calvache's piece would be perfectly suited to most contemporary spaces, for placement on a countertop, a kitchen table, a sideboard or a coffee table. It performs quite well as a [holder of apples, pears and bananas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soft-grounds) and, all the while, the Torax Fruit Bowl reveals its eccentric self.
