The idea for this product is the outcome of two Dutch designers by the names of Rob Hermes and Marlies Romberg. Essentially, the device comes sealed with a wax stamp containing the logo of Her-berg, and before it can be used, the seal has to be broken. This is where the whole "secret" concept comes into play. It is ideal for gift-giving, due to the high-quality materials that are used, and most importantly the sentimental value. For example, you could surprise a loved one on their birthday by mailing them out a 'Top Secret USB' that is filled with [memorable photographs, videos](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blissbox) and maybe even some of their favorite songs. The product comes in a variety of different colors, and has storage limits of two, four or eight gigabytes. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.2/10 - Popularity: 49% | Activity: 39% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Customizable Porcelain Memory Sticks:** The 'Top Secret USB' offers a unique and sentimental way to store and share memories. - **Personalized Gift-giving:** The customizable nature of the 'Top Secret USB' presents an opportunity for personalized and meaningful gift-giving. - **High-quality Materials in Tech Products:** 'Top Secret USB' showcases the potential for using premium materials like porcelain in the production of tech devices. ### Where This Applies - **Tech Accessories:** The tech accessories industry can explore the use of unique materials like porcelain to create distinctive and personalized memory storage devices. - **Gift and Souvenir:** The gift and souvenir industry can harness the customizable aspect of the 'Top Secret USB' to offer personalized and sentimental gifting options. - **Premium Tech Products:** The premium tech products industry can incorporate high-quality materials like porcelain to create luxury and memorable storage devices. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Object-Resembling USB Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sandisk-1.md) - [Icon-Shaped USB Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folderdrive.md) - [Data-Protecting USB Keys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nukii.md) - [Laptop-Fitted USB Stick Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/saint-antoine.md) - [Ruggedly Encrypted USB Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/encrypted-usb-drive.md) - [Monolithic Desktop Hard Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/unidentifed-hard-disk-drive.md) - [Private Electronic Storage Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/etsme.md) - [Playful Crayon USB Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sandisk-crayola-usbc.md) - [Smart Secure Storage Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ironkey-vault-privacy-80es.md)
