# Miniature Minty Sculptures The Toothpaste Portrait by Kazuki Guzman Looks Adorably Patient By Meghan Young | Published 2013-07-29 | Unique Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/toothpaste-portrait References: [neatorama](http://www.neatorama.com/2013/07/28/Toothpaste-Sculpture/) & [kazukiguzman](http://www.kazukiguzman.com/Toothpaste-Portrait) The Toothpaste Portrait is not exactly what it sounds like. For those who might assume by the name alone that it is simply a portrait drawn with [toothpaste](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/everlasting-gobstopper-toothpaste), they will be sorely mistaken. Instead, the Toothpaste Portrait is much more impressive. It is a miniature sculpture made out of the minty substance. The sculpture takes on the form of a man sitting patiently on the [bristles of a toothbrush](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/upplang) as though waiting for the inevitable: to be crushed against the teeth of a giant human. Created by Chilean/Japanese artist Kazuki Guzman, the same person who embossed [fruit](http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kazuki-guzman) with luxury monograms, the Toothpaste Portrait shows off his skill in another unique way. It does fall in line with his other miniature artworks. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.9/10 - Popularity: 12% | Activity: 8% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: South America, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Miniature Sculptures:** The Toothpaste Portrait by Kazuki Guzman showcases the potential for creating art using unconventional materials. - **Creative Use of Toothpaste:** Kazuki Guzman's use of everyday toothpaste demonstrates the potential for expanding the creative use of everyday objects. - **Adorable Sculptures:** Kazuki Guzman's Toothpaste Portrait reflects a trend towards creating adorable and approachable art pieces. ### Where This Applies - **Art:** Kazuki Guzman's unconventional use of toothpaste can spur innovation in the art industry. - **Household Products:** Kazuki Guzman's Toothpaste Portrait opens up opportunities for exploring the potential of household products for creating art pieces. - **Luxury Goods:** Kazuki Guzman's previous works and the Toothpaste Portrait showcase opportunities for creating high-end luxury goods by using unconventional materials. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Branded Mint Chocolate Toothpastes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/terrys-chocolate-mint-toothpaste.md) - [Toothpaste-Dispensing Toothbrushes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/onedone.md) - [Crisp Apple Toothpastes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/miffy-sweet-apple-toothpaste.md) - [Minty Whipped Toothpastes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/whipped-toothpaste.md) - [Buttery Toothpaste Sachets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/butter-toothpaste.md) - [Wasabi-Flavored Toothpastes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wasabi-flavored-toothpaste.md) - [Filmic Chocolate Toothpastes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chocolate-flavored-toothpaste.md) - [Kid-Designed Toothpastes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/creative-toothpaste.md) - [Festive Chocolate-Mint Toothpaste](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nha-toothpaste.md)
