Designed by Joy Palette, this model of the new east Tokyo tower is incredibly accurate and makes a classy addition to any architecture lover's home. The Tokyo Sky Tree model is done to 1/1000 the scale of the actual building. Just like the [light-up tower](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/evening-sky), the scale model of the Tokyo Sky Tree is capable of eight different types of light shows. That means you can have a house party with a Tokyo Sky Tree light show to create the mood -- what a great way to party like you're in Tokyo. The Tokyo Sky Tree was completed in March of 2011, making it the tallest tower in the world and the second largest structure in the world behind Burj Khalifa. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.9/10 - Popularity: 10% | Activity: 9% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Detailed Scale Models:** Opportunity for creating detailed and accurate scale models of famous landmarks for enthusiasts and collectors. - **Interactive Light Shows:** Potential for creating interactive light shows in scale models, offering a unique and immersive experience. - **Architectural Home Decor:** Innovation in creating classy architectural models as home decor items, appealing to architecture lovers and interior design enthusiasts. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Collectibles:** Disruptive innovation opportunity for designing and manufacturing collectible scale models of famous landmarks. - **Entertainment:** Opportunity for entertainment companies to develop interactive light shows for scale models, enhancing user experience and engagement. - **Home Decor:** Innovative opportunity for home decor industry to incorporate detailed architectural models as attractive and unique decor items. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Towering Wooden Block Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/capsule-tower.md) - [Cutout Christmas Tree Displays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/christmas-tree-display.md) - [City-Overlooking Tranquil Hotels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bellustar.md) - [Eiffel Tower-Inspired LEGO Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eiffel-tower-lego.md) - [Honeycomb-Like Sculptural Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tri-light.md) - [Ski Resort Crystalline Skyscrapers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/trojena-ski-resort.md) - [Anime Robot Replica Statues](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/59foottall-gundam.md) - [Central Tokyo Penthouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bellustar-tokyo.md) - [Greenery-Filled Skyscraper Terrarium](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/terrarium-cheongdam.md)
