Beautifully intricate, it features slightly crushed [cardboard cores](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pastille) forming to create a fake organic-like foliage. Designed by Erika of Erikaceous blog, the toilet roll art was actually inspired by other [toilet paper roll creations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pape). Yet this cellular concept is all her own. I'm excited to see what else she has up her sleeve using this medium. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.5/10 - Popularity: 71% | Activity: 87% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Toilet Roll Art:** Creating intricate designs using toilet paper rolls presents a disruptive innovation opportunity in the art and home decor industries. - **Cardboard Foliage:** Utilizing slightly crushed cardboard cores to create organic-like foliage offers a disruptive innovation opportunity in eco-friendly product design and sustainable packaging. - **Toilet Paper Roll Creations:** Exploring new ways to repurpose toilet paper rolls in creative projects presents a disruptive innovation opportunity in the craft and DIY industries. ### Where This Applies - **Art:** Innovations in toilet roll art can revolutionize the art industry by introducing unique and sustainable mediums. - **Home Decor:** Incorporating toilet roll art into home decor presents disruptive innovation opportunities to create eco-conscious and visually striking designs. - **Packaging:** Using cardboard foliage in packaging design can disrupt the packaging industry by offering a sustainable and aesthetically pleasing alternative to traditional materials. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Paper-Made Mosaic Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/real-life-architecture-exhibition.md) - [Artfully Sculptured Textured Toilets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-formation-02.md) - [Festive Bamboo Tissues Papers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stackatree.md) - [Compressed Toilet Paper Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bambox.md) - [Origami-Inspired Porcelain Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/saori-matsushita.md) - [Endless Toilet Paper Rolls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/forevr-roll.md) - [Upcycled Waste Material Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cardboard-furniture-design.md) - [Enclosed Japanese Park Toilets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/toiletowa.md) - [Sustainable Timber-Made Toilets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/woodio-block-toilet.md)
