The Tobermory 23 Year Old single malt scotch whiskey is a new offering from the Scotland-based distillery that is sure to satisfy spirit enthusiasts seeking out a premium option that doesn't skimp on aromatic notes.

The spirit starts with the distillery's 15 year old single malt that has been aged an additional eight years in [oloroso Sherry casks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kavalan-distillery) at the brand's [Isle of Mull](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/isle-of-barra-distillers) location. The spirit features notes of vanilla, ripe oranges, toasted barley and even fruitcake on the nose, while the sherry-like flavor features hints of salted toffee, candies citrus and floral honey on the palate with just a touch of salt and caramelized walnuts.

Master Blender at Tobermory Distillery Julieann Fernandez spoke on the Tobermory 23 Year Old single malt scotch whiskey saying, "Our team at the distillery have been working hard for many years on the return of this old friend, and we’re incredibly proud to be introducing whisky drinkers around the world to this exciting addition to the core range. Absence certainly makes the heart grow fonder and the extra years have been spent well, as our whisky has continued to mature into the new Sherried expression."
