This incredibly [compact concept appliance](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/laundry-system) has been designed to refresh about one item at a time and do so with convenient speed. Hongmin Jin's [washing machine](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mirai-human-washing-machine) was inspired by the common bread browner, inviting you to place an article into its circular slot and to depress a sliding button on the side to activate it. A [detergent capsule](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/highspeed-dishwasher) in the base of the device then releases small soap spheres that get filtered out again at the end of the short cycle. Wave your hand over the Toaster-L upon the waterless rinse's completion and your shirt or underwear will pop out before you. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.4/10 - Popularity: 93% | Activity: 92% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Waterless Washing:** The Toaster-L washing machine demonstrates the trend of waterless washing, providing an opportunity for companies to develop more sustainable and efficient laundry solutions. - **Single-item Cleaning:** The Toaster-L's ability to clean one item at a time highlights the trend of personalized cleaning, creating opportunities for businesses to develop appliances that cater to individual needs. - **Compact Appliances:** The Toaster-L's compact design reflects the trend of space-saving appliances, presenting an opportunity for companies to create innovative and portable home appliances. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Appliance Industry:** The Toaster-L's innovative waterless washing technology opens up opportunities for companies in the home appliance industry to develop and market eco-friendly laundry appliances. - **Personal Care Industry:** The Toaster-L's single-item cleaning feature creates disruptive innovation opportunities for the personal care industry to introduce new products that target specific clothing items and offer convenient solutions for users. - **Sustainable Technology Industry:** The Toaster-L's waterless washing and detergent capsule technology presents disruptive innovation opportunities for the sustainable technology industry to develop eco-friendly and water-saving solutions for various applications. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Miniature Portable Washing Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/conceptual-mini-washing-machine.md) - [Ultra-Modern Toy-Like Washing Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/toshin-machine.md) - [Multipurpose Portable Washing Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wonertool-portable-washing-machine.md) - [Flatpack Portable Washing Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/collapsible-washing-machine.md) - [Bedroom-Sized Washing Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-drum-washing-machine.md) - [Portable Mini Washing Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gsoak.md) - [AI-Powered Washing Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/go-one-touch-washing-machine.md) - [Foldable Portable Washing Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pqp-design.md) - [Single-Unit Washer-Dryers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/washtower.md)
