The Toast Bird Feeder is an ingenious bird feeder that makes it easy to feed birds and dispose of [leftover bread](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/balmuda-toaster-pro). The bird feeder was designed by Mike Rankin of the [Etsy](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arcade-clock) shop Wudwerx and is a simple cage designed to hold a slice of bread. The cage has small, square-shaped holes that birds can peck at to eat the toast trapped inside. The Toast Bird Feeder comes with a roof and side slats (giving it the look of a 2D home) to ensure that the bread will stay dry even in bad weather. Rankin's design will help birds eat and people cut down on their amount of food waste. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.8/10 - Popularity: 9% | Activity: 6% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Bird Feeder Innovation:** The Toast Bird Feeder's unique design provides an opportunity for the development of more innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective bird feeders. - **Waste Reduction Solutions:** The Toast Bird Feeder promotes waste reduction, making its technology particularly applicable to creating more innovative and sustainable backyard gardening and sustainable outdoor dining solutions. - **DIY Bird Feeder Kits:** To meet the increasing demand in the market, companies can offer bird feeder kits designed with easy-to-follow instructions for people to assemble their own bird feeders of different styles and materials. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Gardening and Landscaping:** People interested in gardening and landscaping can incorporate the production and sale of eco-friendly bird feeders as part of their business solutions to mitigate climate change. - **Online Marketplace:** An online marketplace can offer an infinite range of innovative, easy-to-use bird feeder designs that appeal to bird lovers and sustainable living proponents worldwide. - **Outdoor Retail:** Outdoor retail stores can expand their sustainable living product line by sourcing and selling innovative bird feeders that satisfy the need of the market and support environmentally conscious consumerism. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Highly Functional Bird Feeders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ori-bird.md) - [Sustainable Bird House Feeders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bamboo-bird.md) - [AI-Enhanced Bird Feeders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/robinsnote-smart-bird-feeder.md) - [Squirrel-Resistant Smart Bird Feeders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/birdkiss-s1.md) - [Uniquely-Shaped Animal Feeders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/retro-camper-mesh-bird-feeder.md) - [App-Extended Smart Birdfeeders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-birdfeeder.md) - [User-Friendly Smart Bird Feeders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/birdbuddy-pro.md) - [Minimalist One-Slice Toasters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/toast-appliance.md) - [Smart Bird Feeders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/birdbuddy-2-mini.md)
