The TipTapTop is a 3D-printed device that is shaped and sized like a water balloon, and can be attached to your faucet. Once attached, you can turn the taps on and let it manage water flow. When children -- or adults for that matter -- need to [wash their hands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soap-pen), they just wave them under a [sensor that begins the water flow](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/microbubbles) and triggers an audio message that talks them through the hand-washing process. Messages include things like "Remember the palms, back of hands, between fingers and wrists!". The TipTapTop automatically stops water flow during the scrubbing part of the process, and again after washing is complete. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.1/10 - Popularity: 54% | Activity: 92% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Alpha, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Eco-friendly Hand-washing Gadgets:** There is a market opportunity for companies to create more eco-friendly options for hand-washing gadgets like the TipTapTop attachment. - **Interactive Hand-washing Devices:** There is potential for companies to create more interactive hand-washing devices that make the process more enjoyable for both kids and adults. - **Sensor-activated Hand-washing Products:** There is room for innovation in sensor-activated hand-washing products that automatically turn on and off to encourage proper hand-washing techniques. ### Who This Affects Most - **Healthcare:** Hospitals and healthcare facilities could benefit from incorporating interactive hand-washing devices to encourage proper hygiene among staff and patients. - **Education:** Schools could adopt sensor-activated hand-washing products to promote a healthier learning environment and teach proper hygiene habits to students. - **Consumer Goods:** Consumer goods companies could create more eco-friendly options for hand-washing gadgets to appeal to environmentally-conscious consumers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Child-Centric Hand Hygiene Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hygiene-app.md) - [Contactless Voice Assistant Faucets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/huayi-smart-voice-control-faucet.md) - [Smart Fidget Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-fidget-toy.md) - [Automated At-Home Soap Dispensers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/liquid-soap-pump.md) - [Post-Snacking Fingertip Washers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lays-fingertip-washing-machine.md) - [Kid-Friendly Oral Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sensodynes-kidlid.md) - [Smart-Designed Handwash Dispensers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-designed-handwash-dispenser.md) - [Safe Play-Training Kids Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/touchnot.md) - [Bubble-Infused Water Faucets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/microbubbles.md)
