# Charming Literature Lamps The Playful Tiny Tim Booklight Will Light up Your Reading Experience By Matt Ho | Published 2011-06-20 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tiny-tim-booklight References: [technabob](http://technabob.com/blog/2011/06/19/tiny-tim-booklight/) & [justmustard](http://www.justmustard.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_15&products_id=95) The first thing I think of when I see the Tiny Tim Booklight is Luxo Jr., the mascot for [Pixar](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/animationinspired-led-lamp) animation studios. While the Tiny Tim Booklight isn't Luxo Jr. nor does it try to be, the item certainly has the charms and the look of the [adorable light](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tiki-lamp) that everyone has come to love. The lamp is actually a book clip with a base that can secure itself to the pages so that reading in the dark doesn't have to be a hassle. Even if you're not using it for books, it's still good for other things. Plus its [miniature size](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blossi) makes it ideal for conserving space. The Tiny Tim Booklight isn't for sale at the moment, but it will be out some time after June. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.3/10 - Popularity: 24% | Activity: 8% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Miniature Reading Lamps:** The trend for small, portable reading lamps continues to grow, particularly for those interested in conserving space. - **Adorable and Whimsical Reading Accessories:** There is an increasing demand for playful and charming accessories like the Tiny Tim Booklight that elevate and personalize the reading experience. - **Multipurpose Book Accessories:** As consumers search for products and accessories that can serve more than one purpose, there is an opportunity for companies to create book accessories that have additional functionality. ### Who This Affects Most - **Publishing:** Publishing companies can explore creating and selling custom reading accessories that pair well with their books. - **Home Decor:** Home decor companies can capitalize on the trend of miniature, whimsical lighting by creating similar decorative lamps and accessories for home and office spaces. - **Tech Accessories:** Companies that specialize in creating tech accessories can explore creating mini reading lights that integrate with electronic reading devices like tablets and e-readers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Novel-Inspired Night Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/little-prince-night-lamp.md) - [Animation-Inspired LED Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/animationinspired-led-lamp.md) - [Cabin-Shaped Reading Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/boof-reading-light.md) - [Light-Equipped Reading Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dasung.md) - [Pop-Up Reading Light Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/personal-task-lamp.md) - [Space-Saving Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spacesaving-desk-lamp.md) - [Character-Like Wireless Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/puddy-table-lamp.md) - [Adorable Cartoon Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightweight-and-adorable.md) - [Comforting Multifunctional Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/buddy-portable-lamp.md)
