# Compact 3d-Printed Housing The Tiny House Lux is Helping Address Luxembourg’s Housing Shortage By Amy Duong | Published 2025-11-20 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tiny-house-lux References: [odaarchitects.lu](https://odaarchitects.lu/) Tiny House Lux shows how printing can expand urban housing by using [robotic concrete extrusion](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/michael-hsu) to build a [compact home on a narrow plot](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/miami-tiny-house) that would normally be considered unsuitable for development. The project demonstrates how [layered concrete walls, curved edges](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/underground-house-of-the-future) and integrated service channels can be produced directly on site without formwork. This reduces labour demands and shortens construction time while keeping material use efficient. The method allows small parcels within existing neighbourhoods to become viable locations for entry-level homes, supporting a shift toward infill rather than outward expansion. The controlled printing process also improves precision, which helps create a structure that performs well with simple, energy-focused design strategies. The completed dwelling uses a straightforward layout that fits comfortably within its tight footprint. The form sits lightly on the site and blends with surrounding residential buildings through careful scale and proportion. The project is intended as a repeatable model for municipalities that want to unlock more housing options without relying on large developments or extensive land acquisition.
