Courier is an iOS app that allows one to be more efficient when tending to an email inbox. The mobile app relies on an automated summarization technology that allows it to skim the text of emails, highlight the most important parts and produce short summaries. In other words, this time-saving application allows users to quickly read the gist of the message, without having to actually open it. In addition, Courier also incorporates a playful emoji filter to its algorithm to signify the type of email. This feature allows users to easily prioritize their messages — from the robot emoji that signifies a newsletter blast to the speakerphone to symbolize a type of reminder. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.3/10 - Popularity: 30% | Activity: 30% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Mobile](https://www.trendhunter.com/mobile) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Automated Summarization Technologies:** Automated summarization technologies are disrupting the email management process by saving time and allowing users to quickly read the gist of messages. - **Time-saving Applications:** Time-saving applications like Courier are revolutionizing productivity by automating email summarization and prioritization. - **Efficiency-enhancing Mobile Apps:** Efficiency-enhancing mobile apps such as Courier are leveraging automated summarization technology to help users manage their email inbox more effectively. ### Who This Affects Most - **Technology:** The technology industry has a disruptive innovation opportunity in developing and improving automated summarization technologies for email management applications. - **Productivity Tools:** The productivity tools industry can embrace automated summarization technologies to create time-saving applications that optimize email inbox management. - **Mobile App Development:** With the rise of time-saving applications like Courier, the mobile app development industry has an opportunity to incorporate automated summarization and prioritization features into their products. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [AI Text Summarizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/r10-ai-summarizer.md) - [Email Summarization Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/email-summarization.md) - [AI-Driven Newsletter Summaries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cruiseletter.md) - [AI-Powered News Summary Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/concise-ai.md) - [AI Email Summaries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/summaries-for-emails.md) - [Instant Summarization Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/saveday.md) - [Message Summarization Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/catch-up.md) - [Auditory Email Inbox Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/voisemail.md) - [AI Newsletters Organizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lateronemail.md)
