# LCD-Less Cameras Brian Matanda's Timeless Capture Encourages Sentimental Photography By Meghan Young | Published 2012-05-16 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/timeless-capture References: [dvice](http://dvice.com/archives/2012/05/camera-concept.php) & [brianmatanda](http://brianmatanda.com/portfolio/timelesscapture/) Timeless Capture is an interesting photography concept that forces people to become a little more attached to their photos. Living in an age where technology has changed the face of photography significantly, it is easy for people to snap away and then forget about photos stored on memory cards or uploaded on social networks. Timeless Capture avoids this by providing an [LCD-less camera](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/leica-m11d) that is hooked up to a [digital photo frame](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/reflection-frame). As soon as a person [takes a photo](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/camp-snap-custom-edition) with the Timeless Capture camera, it is immediately displayed on the photo frame. That is the only way to see the photos. This way, people must view their photos right away, enjoying them instantly. Timeless Capture was designed by Brian Matanda. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.9/10 - Popularity: 28% | Activity: 50% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Sentimental Photography:** The Timeless Capture camera encourages people to form emotional connections to their photos by instantly displaying them on a photo frame. - **Lcd-less Cameras:** The concept of LCD-less cameras challenges the traditional photography experience by removing the preview screen, promoting a more deliberate and mindful approach to capturing moments. - **Immediate Photo Viewing:** The integration of digital photo frames with cameras allows for immediate viewing of photos, enhancing the instant gratification aspect of photography. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Photography:** The photography industry can explore the potential of LCD-less cameras and digital photo frames to create innovative products that evoke emotional connections and enhance user experience. - **Consumer Electronics:** The consumer electronics industry can consider integrating LCD-less cameras and digital frames to offer a unique and mindful photography experience to customers. - **Digital Display Technology:** The digital display technology industry can tap into the demand for LCD-less cameras and explore advancements in photo frame technologies to provide enhanced viewing experiences for users. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Tactile Digital Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/camera-1.md) - [Translucent Pocket Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clearcam.md) - [Redefining Screen-Free Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/camp-snap.md) - [Reusable Disposable Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flashback.md) - [Nostalgic Digital Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cs8.md) - [Imperfect Photography Celebrations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nonnas-cam.md) - [Miniature Photo Display Screens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/autoheart-picpak-digital-frame.md) - [Modular Point-and-Shoot Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-camera.md) - [Adorable Mini Instant Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/retro-digital-toy-camera.md)
