Hauntingly beautiful films of major deserted cities such as New York and Seattle display how vital people are to a city’s landscape. The filmmaker Ross Ching leaves the viewer with an eerie feeling by foreshadowing a dystopian future where suddenly all the inhabitants of a city have disappeared. Ching captivates audiences with the stillness of an empty metropolis, devoid of the energy that once undulated its streets in his recent series titled Empty America. Remy discusses these finds in his latest interview, and also reveals how he resets himself to be creative.
