This intriguing desk design, like all designs from this company, was inspired by railroad tracks. The Timbertop desk has an antiquish feel to it, which makes it aesthetically pleasing. It also provides people with plenty of workspace. There's easily enough space on this train track-themed desk to incorporate a computer and various other work necessities. The wood used in this workstation is distressed in the same way wood from an old railway would be. There are even two small sections of rail at either end of the desk, to reinforce the locomotive-theme. The charming Timbertop desk would make a great addition to any [at-home office](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-leandesk). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.9/10 - Popularity: 92% | Activity: 78% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Railroad-inspired Workstations:** Companies can design workstations with a railroad or locomotive theme to add uniqueness to the workspace environment. - **Antiquated Aesthetics:** Businesses can incorporate antiquish design in furniture to cater to the vintage-fusion trend. - **Amalgamation of Functionality and Creativity:** Businesses can incorporate design elements into office fixtures to not only be visually appealing but also to serve as functional furniture pieces. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture:** Furniture companies can leverage railroad-inspired designs to cater to customers that desire unique and visually appealing pieces. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can recommend train-themed workstations to create a unique experience in office environments. - **Home Office:** Companies that specialize in home office furnishings can expand their offerings by introducing train-themed desks to add charm and uniqueness in home workspaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Charming Timber Workstation Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/adudu-desk.md) - [Race‑inspired Tracker Trays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/race-track-desk.md) - [Industrial Metal-Framed Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-field-desk.md) - [Tubular Construction Desk Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/work-flow-desk.md) - [Fold-Down Workstation Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/workspace-furniture-solution.md) - [Minimalist Professional Desk Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/artifox-x-twelve-south-desk.md) - [Minimalist Clutter-Free Desk Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/parallel-work-table.md) - [Pocket Storage-Equipped Workstations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pocket-desk.md) - [Modular Wooden Desk Trays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/track-concept.md)
