# Tilted Table Lamps This Beveled-Bottom Light is Unable to Stand Up Straight By Amelia Roblin | Published 2015-02-14 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tilted-table-lamp References: [fubiz.net](http://www.fubiz.net/en/2015/02/12/the-tilt-light/) & [behance.net](https://www.behance.net/gallery/21623795/Light) With the basic functionality of his product is met, designer Akos Huber went on to have a bit of fun with this tilted table lamp. An LED light source is contained within a [timber body](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flatpack-timber-lamp) that's not symmetrical and not terribly stable. It does stay up, but it does so with a very precarious appearance. The beautiful assembly of dark and grainy wood is [sculptural](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/leda), taking a multifaceted form that enables you to slant and stand it to one side or the other. Like the silhouette of a stationary metronome, it flares towards the base, inviting you to tip it towards wherever you need illumination. A little aluminum panel helps reflect the light of the tilted table lamp to deliver a broader glow. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.7/10 - Popularity: 59% | Activity: 44% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Asymmetrical Design:** There is an opportunity for designers to explore and create products with unconventional and asymmetrical designs. - **Interactive Lighting:** The use of interactive lighting products, such as tilted table lamps, can add a playful and dynamic element to interior spaces. - **Natural Materials:** There is a growing trend towards using natural and sustainable materials, such as timber, in the design of home decor and lighting products. ### Who This Affects Most - **Interior Design:** Interior design professionals can incorporate asymmetrical designs and interactive lighting products into their projects to create unique and engaging spaces. - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry can capitalize on the trend of using natural materials in their products, catering to the growing demand for sustainable and eco-friendly options. - **Lighting:** Lighting manufacturers can explore the production of interactive lighting products, like tilted table lamps, to offer customers innovative and visually interesting lighting solutions for their homes. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Reversible Glass Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jal.md) - [Elegant Axis-Mounted Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pendulum-lamp.md) - [Simplistic Angular Desktop Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/linear-table-lamp.md) - [Twisting Timber Lampshade Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/twisted-lasercut-wooden-lampshade.md) - [Hanging Lantern-Like Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/woodo-table-lamp.md) - [Bold Playful Lighting Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/little-lebow-table-lamp.md) - [Sculptural Wooden Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arc-lamp.md) - [Elegant Compact Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-table-light.md) - [Dimmable Structural Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mantle.md)
