Tilman Paas fell in love with the architecture of a [1930s textile factory](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fm-apartment) in Germany. The building was almost in ruins, but with a little TLC and a lot of hard work, Tilman Paas was able to create a masterpiece.

The inside of the house has a lot of iron bars holding up the foundation, giving it an interesting, modern twist. Tilman Paas did an excellent job keeping [parts of the factory visible](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ironworks-caf) while still [adding a contemporary touch](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flat-iron-house). You would definitely gain some leg muscles going up and down the enormous flight of stairs everyday!
