The TILER ecosystem does not require wires or adapters to be carried around with the rider, simplifying the public charging experience. Rather, TILER charges bikes parked on top of tiles, which give the company its name, wirelessly through the kickstand. Bikes need to be equipped with a special kickstand for this to work, but this is a one-time investment for the convenience of the wireless charging system. TILER charging tiles could be placed a public bike rests and parking places, such as those outside of grocery stores or other popular venues, as this would allow commuters to simultaneously charge their bike while completing daily tasks. The TILER has not yet been deployed at scale, but early testing shows that the ecosystem is efficient when compared to deploying wired chargers.
