The book is based on Dieterich's blog THXTHXTHX, which features one of her [handwritten thank-you notes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tdthanksyou-1) a day, and will compile 100 of these notes in print form. The message in Leah Dieterich's handwritten notes is always heartfelt; even unfortunate or untimely situations seem to get a positive spin. For example, in one note, she thanks a bee that stung her on her face; this allowed her to ice her already-swollen lip at the same time. This [positive perspective on everyday life](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spark-deeper) is quite inspirational. In an era characterized by [venting on social media sites](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/what-went-well-today) and clamoring for our just desserts, THXTHXTHX: Thank Goodness for Everything stands out for its humble sincerity.
