# Thunder God Winter Tools The Thor Ice Scraper Attacks Snow Buildups By Meghan Young | Published 2012-01-02 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/thor-ice-scraper References: [uncrate](http://uncrate.com/stuff/thor-ice-scraper/) & [amazon](http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B005ZA0IRK/uncrate-20?tag=trenhunt0f-20) Attack the ice with the Thor Ice Scraper -- that is what it written right on the handle of this winter tool. It seems appropriate that this ice scraper is inspired by the god of thunder, lightning and, most importantly, storms, since this tool would only be used after a snowfall. Brought to us by [Amazon](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/weatherman-trek-umbrella), the Thor Ice Scraper is conveniently collapsible, allowing it to be stored easily when not in use. Shaped just like Thor's legendary hammer, it boasts some curves and grooves that make the task of removing ice and snow easier. It also features a [double blade](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rollingreef) so that the user can engage in a faster back and forth motion while its [telescopic handle](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arrow) extends to hard to reach places. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.1/10 - Popularity: 14% | Activity: 11% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Collapsible Winter Tools:** There is a disruptive innovation opportunity to create other collapsible winter tools with unique designs and easier functionality. - **Double-bladed Ice Scrapers:** There is a disruptive innovation opportunity to create more efficient ice scrapers with multiple blades for faster and easier snow removal. - **Telescopic Handle Tools:** There is a disruptive innovation opportunity to create more telescopic handle tools for hard-to-reach places that can be conveniently stored when not in use. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Automotive:** Automotive companies may benefit from creating innovative winter tools to provide as accessories to their vehicles. - **Home Improvement:** Home improvement stores can offer a variety of collapsible and innovative winter tools to appeal to customers who want easier solutions for snow and ice management. - **Retail:** Retailers can benefit from offering unique and efficient winter tools to attract customers looking for functional and convenient solutions for winter weather. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Superhero-Inspired LEGO Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/thors-hammer1.md) - [Compact Vehicle Escape Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-car-emergency-tool.md) - [Protective Windshield Covers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/frostguard.md) - [Mythical Hammer-Inspired Power Stations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/asus-rog-mjolnir.md) - [Superhero-Themed Gaming Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/xbox-series-x-thor-love-and-thunder.md) - [Durable Outdoor Camping Multitools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/outdoor-camping-multitool.md) - [Minimalist Pan-Cleaning Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pancleaning-tool.md) - [Hyper-Tough Titanium Multitools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smith-blade.md) - [Self-Heated Kitchen Utensils](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/meltbuddy.md)
