Thomm is based in Los Angeles and was born in Australia -- his work is a vibrant aesthetic that is now making its way to furniture as the medium. His signature resin and acrylic styles are applied to the functional pieces for the home, crafting [kaleidoscopic visuals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/draga-aurel1) that are meant to make [bold statements](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/collection-co). The capsule is comprised of two dining table sets followed by stools, a rug, a coffee table, side tables, and chairs. The inspiration stems from [clean geometry](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/trama-collection) that forms Brutalist structures. He states, “these pieces are intended to control the atmosphere or mood of a room extend[ing] the practice to give people a new way to experience my work.” Image Credit: Nick Thomm ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.9/10 - Popularity: 35% | Activity: 2% | Freshness: 21% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Vibrant Furniture Design:** The THOMM Collection showcases dynamic color palettes and bold geometric structures, offering disruptive innovation opportunities in the furniture industry. - **Resin and Acrylic Techniques:** Nick Thomm's signature resin and acrylic styles applied to functional furniture pieces create kaleidoscopic visuals, opening up disruptive innovation opportunities in the art and design industry. - **Geometry-inspired Decor:** The THOMM Collection draws inspiration from clean geometries and Brutalist structures, presenting disruptive innovation opportunities in the interior design and decor industry. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture:** The THOMM Collection's vibrant and geometric furniture pieces offer disruptive innovation opportunities in the furniture industry. - **Art and Design:** Nick Thomm's innovative use of resin and acrylic techniques in his furniture pieces presents disruptive innovation opportunities in the art and design industry. - **Interior Design and Decor:** The THOMM Collection's geometry-inspired furniture and decor offer disruptive innovation opportunities in the interior design and decor industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Glass Geometry Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glass-collection.md) - [Contrasting Artful Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fluro-furniture.md) - [Sculptural Living Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cromatica.md) - [Vibrant Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vibrant-furniture-collection.md) - [Acrylic Multicolor Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lucid-side-tables.md) - [Retro Colorful Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/geometrica.md) - [Pop Art-Inspired Bright Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/henri-judin.md) - [Dynamic Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tom-dixon-fat-and-plump.md) - [Mesmerizing Bright Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/draga-aurel1.md)
