# Gradient Auto Glass Tables Thinkk Studio Introduces a Series of Ribbed Glass Furniture By Amy Duong | Published 2018-09-13 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/thinkk-studio References: [thinkkstudio](https://www.thinkkstudio.com/) Thinkk Studio is a design label based in Bangkok and it recently unveiled its new range of auto glass [side tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bug-table) with simplistic color elements. The furniture pieces experiment with both flat and fluted glass that curves in a way that seals a layer of gradient printed tape within the structure. This process gives it a light and subtle [gradient effect](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/draga-aurel1) as the color disappears throughout the top and the bottom. The table's surface boasts an oval form and the flute orientation sits at an angle of 45 degrees that gives it a balanced refraction. This side table explores a new range of opportunities with fluted glass with its refined sensibilities in playing with the medium from new angles. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.2/10 - Popularity: 61% | Activity: 28% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Gradient Glass Furniture:** Creating furniture pieces that experiment with gradient glass in both flat and fluted form. - **Fluted Glass Refraction:** Exploring new ways to use fluted glass at an angle of 45 degrees to create balanced refraction effects. - **Printed Tape Integration:** Incorporating gradient printed tape within the structure of glass furniture to create a light and subtle gradient effect. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Manufacturing gradient glass furniture pieces using the latest fluted glass technology that employs printed tapes to create a gradient effect. - **Interior Design:** Incorporating gradient glass furniture pieces into interior design concepts, utilizing the interplay of light and color to create unique visual effects. - **Glass Manufacturing:** Advancing fluted glass production to create curved pieces with a balanced refraction and gradient effects using printed tapes that can be used for furniture and other applications. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Glass Boundary-Exploring Table Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sklo.md) - [Glass Geometry Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glass-collection.md) - [Colorful Modern Glass Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soda-side-table.md) - [Candy-Inspired Cylindrical Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/candy-table.md) - [Acrylic Multicolor Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lucid-side-tables.md) - [Sunset-Inspired Printed Glass Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iris-collection.md) - [Glass Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cassina-2.md) - [Structural Blown Glass Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lokum-collection.md) - [Shimmering Oceanic Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/liquid-table.md)
