'Things Come Apart' is the newest book from Canadian artist Todd McLellan. Some of you may remember McLellan from 'Disassembly Series,' a collection of photographs showing what gadgets looked like when broken down into individual parts. Things Come Apart takes things up a notch, with the artist mixing in [vintage and retro items](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-fan-build) with modern tech.

Everything from [Blackberry](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/q27) handsets to chainsaws are broken down into individual parts in Things Come Apart. Taking apart items piece by piece is a skill all in itself, but artfully arranging and photographing said pieces is no small task. You can check out a small sampling of the book here, as well as a time lapse video showing McLellan assembling and disassembling vintage items like typewriters and tape recorders.
